On the successful filing of the application, a DIN number is allotted which is a unique number and will be quoted in filing returns by that director. DIN is mandatory to become a director in a company.<\/p>\n<p>As per new rules, a director who does not have a DIN at the time of <a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/\">Company Incorporation<\/a> does not need to file a separate application in Form DIR-3 but can directly apply for <a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/blog\/din-guide\/\">DIN<\/a> using <a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/blog\/spice-form\/\">SPICe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A person will have to make an application in eForm DIR-3 if he\/she wants to become a <a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/blog\/can-director-company\/\">director in an existing company<\/a>. The person has to follow the following procedure:<\/p>\n<div class=\"leftpanel floatLeft llp_filed3\" style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<h2 class=\"floatLeft\"><strong>Supporting Documents for DIR-3<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"floatLeft link\">Photograph<\/li>\n<li class=\"floatLeft link\">Proof of identity (scan copy)<\/li>\n<li class=\"floatLeft link\">Proof of residence as per the guidelines(scan copy)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Physical documents do not require to submit to the DIN cell.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"leftpanel floatLeft llp_filed3\" style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">The applicant must sign the Form DIR-3. The same document should verify digitally by a CS(Company Secretary) in full-time employment of the <a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/blog\/private-limited-company\/\">private limited company<\/a> or by the MD (<a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/blog\/appointing-managing-director\/\">Managing Director<\/a>) or Director or CEO or CFO of the existing company in which the applicant intends to appoint as a director.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If you want to apply for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/private-limited-company-registration\/\">Private Limited Company Registration<\/a>, visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/\">Company Registration<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"leftpanel1\" style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<h3 class=\"floatLeft\"><strong>Fee Payment<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div class=\"description floatLeft\">\n<p>While uploading, You have to make the payment of the filing fee of eForm DIR-3. Only electronic payment of the fees is applicable such as Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, Pay later, and Neft.<\/p>\n<p class=\"floatLeft\">To obtain a Login ID, the user is required to get himself\/herself registered on the <strong>MCA 21<\/strong> Portal. For uploading:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"floatLeft\">Login to the MCA21 portal and<\/li>\n<li class=\"floatLeft\">Click on the &#8216;eForm upload&#8217; link available under the &#8216;eForms&#8217; tab<\/li>\n<li class=\"floatLeft\">Upload the eForm DIR- 3.<\/li>\n<li class=\"floatLeft\">When the DIN application is paid, e-Form DIR-3 will process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You can <span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mca.gov.in\/MCA21\/dca\/downloadeforms\/eformTemplates\/NCA\/Form_DIR-3_help.zip\">download the form DIR 3<\/a><\/span> along with the <span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mca.gov.in\/MCA21\/dca\/help\/instructionkit\/NCA\/Form_DIR-3_help.pdf\">instruction kit.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"floatLeft\"><strong>Generation of DIN<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div class=\"description floatLeft\">\n<p>When you successfully upload and make a payment, it checks for the details that have not been identified as the potential duplicate. In the case of Form DIR-3,<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Details do not identify as a potential duplicate:<\/strong>&#8211; Provisional <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/blog\/din-guide\/\">Director&#8217;s Identification Number (DIN)<\/a><\/strong> will generate. It routes to the DIN cell for back-office processing<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<strong>Details identify as potential duplicate:-<\/strong>\u00a0When the form gets approval, provisional DIN becomes approve DIN and would be available for further use.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"floatLeft\"><strong>Common Causes of Rejection<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2306 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/pexels-photo-970204-1-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"DIR-3\" width=\"530\" height=\"353\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"description floatLeft\">\n<p>The documents attached to the application should inspect thoroughly. Then after the provisional DIN gets approval.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the common mistakes committed by applicants. Because of that <a href=\"https:\/\/companyregistrationonline.in\/blog\/how-to-apply-for-director-identification-number\/\"><strong>DIN (Director Identification Number) application<\/strong><\/a> gets rejected are as under:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"floatLeft\"><strong>I. Non-submission of supporting documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Identity proof of the applicant does not submit.<\/li>\n<li>Father&#8217;s name proof of the applicant does not submit.<\/li>\n<li>The date of birth proof of the applicant does not submit.<\/li>\n<li>Residential address proof of the applicant\u00a0does not submit.<\/li>\n<li>The copy of the passport (for foreign nationals) does not submit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"floatLeft\"><strong>II.
